YSA provides independent investigation and technical documentation of vessel damage, structural defects and suspected failures.
Why it matters.
Assignments may involve grounding, collision or impact, flooding or water ingress, structural failure, machinery-related events, installation defects, warranty matters or repair disputes.
Investigation & documentation
Depending on the assignment, YSA may document visible damage, assess affected areas, identify secondary damage, recommend further investigation, review repair scope, monitor progress and verify completed remedial works.
Where appropriate, investigation by the manufacturer, designer, engineer, laboratory or specialist contractor may also be recommended. Unless specifically instructed and appropriately appointed, YSA does not determine legal liability or apportion responsibility between parties.
